Czech Resolute Support Service Member Killed In Herat Province

KABUL, Afghanistan – A Resolute Support service member from the Czech Republic was killed in Herat province on Monday, 22 October 2018.
Two other Resolute Support service members, also from the Czech Republic, were wounded in the incident. As initial reports indicate, the attack was committed by a member of the Afghan security forces. The incident is subject to ongoing investigations.
Resolute Support and United States Forces-Afghanistan Commanding General Scott Miller expressed his sincere condolences to the Czech Republic and to the family of the fallen soldier. "His sacrifice will not be forgotten. We remain steadfast and resolute in our cause," Miller said.
