Apparent Insider Attack Kills U.S. Service Member

KABUL, Afghanistan – One U.S. service member was killed and another was wounded Saturday morning (November 3) as the result of an apparent insider attack. Army Maj. Brent Taylor, of North Ogden, Utah, died November 3rd in Kabul.
He was assigned to the Utah Army National Guard Element, Joint Force Headquarters, Draper, Utah.
"The death of Maj. Taylor is a loss for his family, his friends, his colleagues, our country and this mission," said Gen. Scott Miller, Commanding General of Resolute Support and United States Forces - Afghanistan. "His service here, around the world and at home is an example for us all."
The wounded U.S. Service member received medical treatment and returned to duty.
