Afghan Commandos liberate Taliban prison

Afghan Commandos from the 7th Special Operation Kandak liberated more than 15 people from a Taliban prison in Now Zad village, Now Zad district, Helmand province. The night time raid also led to the detention of several Taliban and the removal of IED making materials.

The rescued Afghans were transported by helicopter to a secure location. They received medical screening and reintegration services before their release.

The Afghan Commandos conduct offensive operations across Afghanistan. Specializing in night time raids, the Afghan Commandos arrive via ground and air to conduct operations that enable security and stability for their countrymen.
