Georgian memorial unveiled at Resolute Support

Georgia Minister of Defense Tinatin Khidasheli (right), with Minister of Defense of Georgia in Afghanistan Colonel Alexander Kiknadze, unveils the memorial honoring 31 Georgians who have died in support of the NATO mission in Afghanistan.

KABUL, Afghanistan (June 5, 2016) — Georgia Minister of Defense Tinatin Khidasheli (right), with Minister of Defense of Georgia in Afghanistan Col. Alexander Kiknadze, unveil a memorial honoring the 31 Georgians who have died in support of the NATO mission in Afghanistan. Resolute Support Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Sandy Storrie also attended the ceremony.

Resolute Support mission expresses the greatest respect for the soldiers who sacrificed their lives and deepest condolences to their families; and will continue to train, advise, and assist our Afghan partners.
